Re-Envisioning Public Education in Seattle
November 7 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Let’s get together to imagine a better public school system in Seattle, and create a vision to fight for.
To be honest, this school year started out with a whirlwind of stress and uncertainty. There is so much to learn, so much to unpack, all while continuing to show up for day-to-day life of parenting, work, and other responsibilities.
So the Friends of Salmon Bay Advocacy Committee thought it would be helpful to take some time to learn, share, and process — together. We’ll start with a history of how we got here, followed by an overview of the current landscape of organizations and initiatives fighting for awareness and change, and then take some to imagine scenarios where students and schools are thriving.
