FOSB’s 2023 Racial Equity awards (each estimated to be between $250 – $2000) are intended to align with FOSB’s commitment to anti-racism work, which was approved June 2020. Funds are available for programming to address the needs of those most directly impacted by racial injustices at Salmon Bay School.

Deadline: September 30, 2023

Proposal process:

1. Submit a proposal (1-page max) to mumtaz555@gmail.com for how you would like to use the racial equity funds. Proposals can include trainings, community events, talks, etc.
2. Proposals will be evaluated by the Equity Fund Committee, with their funding recommendations presented to the community at the October 19 FOSB meeting.
3. Recipients will be notified immediately after.
4. A second round of racial equity funding is planned for January.
