Please attend our annual membership meeting on May 23!

Tuesday, May 23
7:00-8:30 p.m.
School library and via Zoom

All FOSB members are encouraged to attend our annual FOSB membership meeting in the school library or via Zoom. We will hear updates from our administration, find out about our auction results and learn about a new native garden project. Most importantly, we will vote to approve our new slate of officers and directors and the proposed FOSB budget for the next school year. According to FOSB bylaws, we need at least 20 members who are not officers or directors to vote on these important topics and make sure we’re prepared for the fall.

Remember, parents, guardians, teachers and staff are all FOSB members, whether you have had a chance to attend previous FOSB meetings or not.

Please feel free to peruse the agenda ahead of time.

FOSB needs volunteers for the next school year!

As we begin looking to the 2023/24 school year, there are always volunteer needs. Families graduate out or move on, or it’s simply time for someone else to take the reins of a particular role. Please consider your time and where you may be able to contribute. There are roles within our parent teacher organization that are very low commitment and others that allow someone to step in more substantially to flex their skills at leadership or communication — either way, there’s something for everyone. Here are just some of our needs:

This is a paid position and an immediate need! FOSB’s long-term bookkeeper is working towards retirement. Some of these responsibilities have been absorbed by our FOSB Treasurers but we need a new bookkeeper to file our annual taxes, conduct bank reconciliation, issue checks etc. Are you a CPA or know someone who could step in? Please reach out to

Thanks for supporting the auction!

THANK YOU to the nearly 300 of you who participated in the 2023 FOSB auction! This was our first ever hybrid event, and whether you joined us in person, online, or both, it was great to see so much involvement. We hope everyone had fun!

The in-person event on April 28 was a wonderful night for our community to get back together, support our school, and raise some money. A big shout out to the auction committee for working so hard to make it all happen!

We’re crunching the numbers behind the scenes, adding all the proceeds from the in-person event to the proceeds from the mobile bidding platform, and we’ll share our final fundraising total soon.

Thank you, Salmon Bay families!!

All are welcome at the FOSB auction! Register today!

Whether you’re new to Salmon Bay or have been here for years … whether you’ve attended past auctions or have never participated at all … we welcome you to the 2023 FOSB auction!

If you’ve never been to an in-person FOSB auction:

Here’s what you need to know: Salmon Bay’s annual spring auction is not some fancy charity gala. It’s always a little wacky and unexpected — and that’s the way we like it. Although it’s one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, it’s unlike any you’ve attended before. Learn more in our auction FAQ.

Attending the FOSB auction is a fantastic way to connect with other Salmon Bay parents, strengthen our sense of community, support our school, and enjoy a great night out!

We invite you to register for this year’s auction (text DISCO to 71760) and participate however you prefer: online, in-person, or both (see details below).

A credit card is required to register. You will only be charged if you choose to purchase or donate.

If you’ve been to a past in-person FOSB auction:

We hope to welcome you back this year! You might be wondering how this event will be different from past auctions. For 2023, we’re keeping some of the most popular parts of our pre-COVID auctions, as well as some features from our 2021 and 2022 virtual auctions. Plus, we’re making some updates to create a fun, new auction experience that will still feel familiar.

  • Keeping: mobile bidding on the go; auction sign-up party experiences to purchase at all different price points and group sizes; a split-the-pot raffle; a wacky, in-person event for our adult community!
  • Removing: potluck meal, sit-down tables
  • Adding: appetizers instead of dinner, a beautiful new venue (Metropolist in Seattle), and YOU!!

Online experience vs in-person event:

For this year’s first-ever hybrid FOSB auction, you can choose to participate online, in-person, or both.

Register for the Online Experience

By registering (text DISCO to 71760), you’ll have access to our mobile bidding platform, where you can:

  • Get a sneak peek into the live auction (available at the in-person event)
  • Buy tickets to the in-person event
  • and more!

A credit card is required to register. You will only be charged if you choose to purchase or donate.

There won’t be a live online event to watch from home this year, as we had for the last two virtual auctions. But if you’re craving more interaction, consider buying a ticket to join us in person.
