FOSB back-to-school events

If your family is new to Salmon Bay, welcome! And to our returning families, welcome back! FOSB is kicking off the school year with a full schedule of events. Join us!

We’ll edit this post as more FOSB events are confirmed. [updated 9/24/22]

Parent Information Exchange (PIE) committee meeting
Tuesday, September 27, 12 p.m., Mabel Coffee on 24th Ave NW
FOSB’s PIE committee hosts parent education events throughout the year including guest speakers, film/documentary screenings, and panel discussion events. Join us at this first meeting to talk through ideas for the year. Even if you can’t make the meeting but have something that you’d like the committee to consider, please reach out to Julie Schneider at kajulie@hotmail.com.

RESCHEDULED! K-2 Popsicles in the Park
Tuesday, September 27, 3:30 p.m., Salmon Bay Park (not school)
We rescheduled this event after the smoky air last week, and we hope families will be able to join us to connect, play, and enjoy a cool treat together. The event is targeted for kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade students and their families, but all are welcome. Popsicles will be provided by the FOSB Community Building Initiative — to become more involved, reach out to emily.dallara@gmail.com.

Veraci Pizza on the Playground
Friday, September 30, 4 to 7 p.m., school playground
We are so excited to bring back this beloved FOSB sponsored event for our students, staff and families! Join us as we gather on the school playground to enjoy woodfired pizzas from Veraci Pizza! This is a wonderful time to come together and meet other families and Salmon Bay Admin and staff while the kids play. Slices will be $3 and we will have canned drinks for $1. We will also be doing a drive for classroom safety kits at the event. Look for an email next week that will include a list of needed supplies. See you on the playground!
