Here’s a quick thank you message from Salmon Bay staff thanking families for their Staff Appreciation Week treats.
Thanks for supporting the auction!
THANK YOU to the nearly 300 of you who participated in the 2023 FOSB auction! This was our first ever hybrid event, and whether you joined us in person, online, or both, it was great to see so much involvement. We hope everyone had fun!
The in-person event on April 28 was a wonderful night for our community to get back together, support our school, and raise some money. A big shout out to the auction committee for working so hard to make it all happen!
We’re crunching the numbers behind the scenes, adding all the proceeds from the in-person event to the proceeds from the mobile bidding platform, and we’ll share our final fundraising total soon.
Thank you, Salmon Bay families!!
All are welcome at the FOSB auction! Register today!

If you’ve never been to an in-person FOSB auction:
Here’s what you need to know: Salmon Bay’s annual spring auction is not some fancy charity gala. It’s always a little wacky and unexpected — and that’s the way we like it. Although it’s one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, it’s unlike any you’ve attended before. Learn more in our auction FAQ.
Attending the FOSB auction is a fantastic way to connect with other Salmon Bay parents, strengthen our sense of community, support our school, and enjoy a great night out!
We invite you to register for this year’s auction (text DISCO to 71760) and participate however you prefer: online, in-person, or both (see details below).
A credit card is required to register. You will only be charged if you choose to purchase or donate.
If you’ve been to a past in-person FOSB auction:
We hope to welcome you back this year! You might be wondering how this event will be different from past auctions. For 2023, we’re keeping some of the most popular parts of our pre-COVID auctions, as well as some features from our 2021 and 2022 virtual auctions. Plus, we’re making some updates to create a fun, new auction experience that will still feel familiar.
- Keeping: mobile bidding on the go; auction sign-up party experiences to purchase at all different price points and group sizes; a split-the-pot raffle; a wacky, in-person event for our adult community!
- Removing: potluck meal, sit-down tables
- Adding: appetizers instead of dinner, a beautiful new venue (Metropolist in Seattle), and YOU!!
Online experience vs in-person event:
For this year’s first-ever hybrid FOSB auction, you can choose to participate online, in-person, or both.

What is the FOSB auction?
The FOSB auction, held each spring, is one of our school’s largest fundraisers of the year. It’s not like other fancy charity auctions you may have been to . . . Salmon Bay knows how to put the “fun” in “fundraiser”! Your support of our auction will help us go beyond the funding that is provided by the school district. Learn more at www.FOSBauction.org.

We hit our Direct Giving goal!
1/19/23 UPDATE: A few more checks have rolled in, and we’re now at $80,493!
We’re so excited to share that FOSB’s fall 2022 Direct Giving campaign raised $77,143 to support our school! And that number will likely rise as offline donations and employer matching funds continue to roll in.
A sincere thank you to all the families who helped us exceed our $75,000 goal. We are deeply grateful that even as so many of us are feeling the strain of rising costs and inflation, our supporters generously opened their hearts to help our school community thrive.
Although we didn’t achieve our very ambitious goal of 100% family participation, we greatly exceeded last year’s number (204 families donated this year compared to 167 last year). Thank you, Salmon Bay families!
